Power to the jump ropers

I must totally confess that I was scared to come to the jump rope class-knowing I couldn't do it. I set the alarm in time to come looked at the clock turned it off and went back to sleep. I know that was total cowardness--that I would have been among friends and that noone would have laughed, but I chickened out.
I praise all of you who went and conquered.
I have made much progress in changing my habits, watching portion control, making healthy choices, exercising and being committed with all of you. What a great program being offered to us.

Week 4

Last week my routine was interupted with a couple of days off. I took some time to spend with friends and shop hop. We spent days brousing quilt shops and seeing fun projects to buy and do. Look at all the things I can be doing instead of thinking of what to eat while watching TV.
I made some healthy choices this week having broccoli instead of the loaded potato as we went out to lunch.
Beth stepped up the workout last night and I can really feel it today. Its good we have a day inbetween the weights, I think I need it today.
Wishing you all a great week!

jumping the first hurdle

Monday through Friday were great, then I hit the weekend, I felt hungry and wanted to eat all in sight. Not sure if it is the lack of structure or that food is more accessable. I did exercise 3 times this weekend.
Any suggestions of ways to get my mind off food!

Kicking my butt

Saw two fellow champions at the wellness center last night, way to go. Met with Beth (trainer) to see 1st week progress. the first time I could only do 2 minutes on the Elipical last night I made it 5 minutes-legs were burning. My goal to make 20+ minutes by the end of our journey as this machine kicks my butt-hopefully making it smaller and smaller as I progress through these 100 days.
Keep on working out!

First week

I met with Beth and Traci to set up the exercise plan. Wow, I have a long way to go to get into shape. The elipictal is going to be my challenge. I was puffing after 2 minutes. My goal is to be able to do this for 20 minutes straight.
I made 3 times on the exercise and had the wellness center to myself on Saturday, loved that.
Writing everything down that I eat made me very aware of some bad habits (popping candy as I sit at my desk) and stopped me from putting sweet things in my mouth. Yea!

Getting started

I am so excited to be part of this challenge. Knowing myself I need the motivation of others to push me to succeed. The combination of this program exercise, eating plan, other participants is exactly what I need to keep me going.
